Explanation of the project
The goal of this project was to improve a 3D printer, RepRap type, in a group of 5 students.
The first step was to define the planning of the project by creating the SADT (Structured Analysis and DesignTechnic). This SADT helped us to create a Gantt Diagram.
After that, we needed to understand our product. To do that, we looked at the different kind of RepRap which exist. We also studied the RepRap from the UTBM to realize the problems that the user could have by using it and to try to define a better aesthetic for the future RepRap.
We defined the specifications of the product: what the future product must have and what it needs. Then we realized an external functional analysis.
All these steps allowed us to create several pre-concepts. Then we selected the best ideas of each pre-concept and we finally created a new final concept of RepRap.
We also calculated a previous price for the new product.
