Explanation of the project
For this project, we had a 3D model of Aston Martin DBR1. The goal was to use this model to create a reduced prototype of Aston Martin DBR1 with the hardware Mayka (group of 6 students).
The first step was to define how we would cut the 3D model to be able to manufacture the reduced prototype with as much details as possible. We also attached the different parts of the model by some rectangular pieces which would allow the prototype to be manufactured correctly.
Then, we had to define the size of the prototype to be able to manufacture it fastly (maximum 3 hours).
We added the logo of Aston Martin on the prototype in the hardware Mayka.
Then we programmed the manufacturing by choosing tools for each step (contouring, draft, finishing). We also realized some parts of the prototype with powder sintering.
At the end, we assembled the parts of the prototype.
